Party at one of the hottest spots in town! A ‘Foodie’ Benefit for the Vital Bridges Center on Chronic Care, a nonprofit providing food, nutrition counseling, housing and case management to low-income people living with HIV/AIDS in Chicagoland. This kick-off is a pre-cursor to the annual Chefs and the City Tasting event, which takes place on Friday, July 27th at the Ritz-Carlton. Attendees of this kick-off event will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to Chefs and the City, as well as raffle tickets for the Grand Raffle at the event. Celebrating Blues Past & Present
The Chicago Blues Festival is the largest free blues festival in the world and remains the largest of Chicago’s Music Festivals. During three days on five stages, more than 500,000 blues fans prove that Chicago is the “Blues Capital of the World.” Past performers include Bonnie Raitt, Ray Charles, B.B. King, the late Bo Diddley, Buddy Guy and the late Koko Taylor.
Some of this year’s performers include Mavis Staples, Texas Johnny Brown, and Floyd Taylor.
